Description

The RENV-B Thermal Fusion Goggle offers both thermal and night vision capabilities in a single binocular system! This device is by far the most advanced fusion system available to the public and comes packed full of features that you would typically see in a Night Vision binocular but also some unique features you will not find anywhere else. This RENV-B has a built in Inclination Indicator, GPS, Bluetooth Controller and a Compass HUD that will not only display your position, but allow you to navigate and set markers that will show up on your display. The RENV-B features a 0.6-inch full-color OLED display with 800×600 resolution, providing multiple enhance image modes, each designed for a specific purpose.

Traditionally, users had to choose between night vision or helmet-mounted thermal, switching between the two, or using an objective Clip-On Thermal Imager like the JerryC. However, the RENV-B combines all these functions into one device. It features a thermal system over the right eye that captures thermal signatures, processes them, and “fuses” them with the night vision intensifier image to provide a real-time thermal overlay. This integration offers the best of both worlds: the low-light capabilities of analog night vision and the rapid detection capabilities of thermal imaging.

A limitation of traditional Clip-On Thermal Imagers (COTIs) like the JerryC is that they work by projecting light externally into the host night vision device, reducing effectiveness in high-light environments where ambient light overpowers the COTI. The RENV-B overcomes this limitation by performing the thermal overlay internally at the ocular (eye) side, ensuring that ambient light does not “wash out” the thermal overlay. Additionally, a single off-board battery pack powers both the thermal and night vision systems, eliminating the need for multiple battery packs for a multi-spectrum solution.

The RENV-B features a 19mm thermal objective lens capable of detecting man-sized targets up to 1.5km away and vehicles up to 3km away. It offers multiple thermal modes, including full thermal, outline, and highlight, with the option to disable thermal completely and use traditional analog night vision. The thermal overlay offset is adjustable via the onboard menu system, similar to the JerryC, allowing users to align the thermal and night vision images accurately.

With its Dual 18650 batteries, it can operate for over 60 hours with just night vision or 8 hours in fusion mode.

These are assembled with 10160 auto-gain intensifiers

There are 4 different thermal modes

  • Outline – White Hot
  • Highlight – White Hot
  • Outline – Orange Hot
  • Highlight – Orange Hot
Bluetooth Remote Control

The Bluetooth remote control allows the user to operate the RENV-B wirelessly within a certain distance without directly touching the night vision device itself. This greatly increases the ease of operation, especially in cases where hands are required to maintain other tasks or need to remain hidden.

A great tie-in to the Disney parks
Format: Paperback
Welcome to the Black Spire Outpost on Batuu! I haven't been yet, but you may have if you've recently visited Disney World or Disney Land. There's obviously a lot of references to how the actual park looks. The cover featured the Millenium Falcon just like the actual attraction. This graphic novel tells one story focusing on one of the original characters made for the parks: Dok-Ondar. Within the big story there are four smaller tales being retold. Han Solo deals with a baby sarlacc. Greedo's ego is showcased. Hando comes in contact with the Guardians of the Whills. And, Doctor Aphra travels to the Sith Homeworld of Moraband. Each of these stories show off different aspects of the park that you can see for yourself if you go in person. This is what Star Wars does so well, making connections and building a big lived-in world. There are plenty of wonderful references. Ki-Adi-Mundi and Chirrut are just two of my favorites. Dok-Ondar is the true star of this book. He's an underworld mastermind. I give this book a 3.5/5. It's full of fun stories with connections to the park and featured characters from different eras. This definitely is a tie-in story, though.

Good point of entry into Star Wars comics
Format: Paperback
I love Star Wars and have been enjoying seeing the expanded universe. Honestly, sometimes the focus on Jedis and Siths is a bit of a distraction from understanding what life would be like in that galaxy.

Format: Paperback
A simple yet great set of stories that tie in many of your favorite characters into the Galaxy's Edge/Baatu environment. I am not a huge comic reader, but I did very much enjoy. It is a quick read overall.
